A boy and his dog. This was definitely one of the most unique senior sessions I have done! I always like to give my seniors the option to bring props or go to locations that they love.. hobbies, interests, accomplishments, etc.. Spencer chose to bring Slade. I loved every second. Always the life of the party.
This was such a special portrait shoot to me. Kota contacted me to ask questions about my small photography business...because she was starting her own! While I do not feel as if I were the best person to give advice, I took the opportunity to head into Scranton with her for some coffee and sharing tips and techniques. And I am glad that I did. Model? Photographer? Student? She does it all. What was so cool about this day was that this was a shared experience. She and I took turns eyeing up spots, giving tips on posing, and switching out from behind the camera. Kota has some mad skills. Check out some of HER work from this day in Scranton!
You can see more of her gallery at 1865 Photography by Kota on both Facebook and Instagram. Give her a like and follow her journey! Such a fun evening with such fun ladies. I am seriously so in awe of these two and so glad to call them friends!
I had SO much fun connecting Brittany's love for all things hunting and camoflauge with her adorable sass and style. I just love everything about this session...the colors, the smiles, and the girl! It truly tells the story of her. She was a natural. I would tell her where to stand and she would just strike a pose. One of the best models I have ever worked with! Thanks for allowing me to capture this season of your life, Brittany! It was truly an honor.
Tyler was so easy to work with and was willing to try any pose I came up with! It was a great session.
I met Jessica at school during my Junior year. She lives very close to hometown, so I had the opportunity to carpool with her for breaks! She loves literature, art, and photography...so a naturaly friendship was formed. Jessica actually won this session through a competition I ran on my facebook page this past summer...only she wanted to wait for the Autumn beauty! I am in love with this shoot.. I think you will see why! She is a wonderful photographer and wanted to get her own camera in the shoot with her! I loved being able to capture this passion for her! One of my favorite parts about this session was the collaboration between her and I. She had a few different poses that she wanted to try out in front of the camera and compeletly trusted me behind the camera. Photographing photographers has become a really fun thing for me! Jessica, thanks for being so fabulous! I loved spending that golden hour with you!
Allison was once a camper and I was once a camp-counselor. We bonded over Cowboy, Chicken, Conqueror. She moved to Florida, but returns each July to work on staff at the very camp we met. Last week, I had the privilege of working with her for the week as well as taking senior pictures for her at the place we both love so much. I love this session because it captures just a tiny bit of the rustic camp that has captured my heart for the past 15 years. Theres just something about an evening sunset in one of your favorite places. Allison, you look beautiful! Thanks for this special opportunity!
Enjoy every second of your senior year! I can't wait to see what God does through you beyond graduation! I loved this session. I loved the colors, the outfits, and this girl is stunning. Check it out..and you'll see why words are not even needed.
Let me just tell you all something about this girl... I simply adore her. For so many reasons. She has been in my life for as long as I can remember...because, well, we are cousins. Distant cousins, but when you are related AND friends, no one really cares about whether you are 3rd, 4th, or 34th cousins.. It just doesn't matter. I have greatly enjoyed watching this gem grow up to be the beautiful young women you will see in these photos. But even more than that, I have immensely enjoyed the 4.5 weeks I was able to serve with her at our church camp... She is beautiful, hilarious, and incredibly genuine. So, here she is. A senior. (I guarantee that I will be bawling as she walks across the stage in May...) But, this is not actually a senior session... another reason I love her so much!! I needed to build a portrait portfolio, so I asked her if she would model for me...and she, being the kind hearted soul that she is, agreed to help me experiment with what scares me the most... portrait sessions. She's amazing. She is pretty much a Disney Princess, guys.. The Purple Dinosaur was pretty excited about photo bombing her pictures..
