What a winter.
Up here in PA, we have gotten SO much snow this winter...and I loved it. I LOVE snow. I truly do. However, there comes a time where I become giddy about the idea of spring. I know, it may seem weird. Spring is my favorite season of all. I love the representation of new life and growth. Of beauty popping up everywhere from bleakness. It is such a reminder of God's love for us in that He creates beauty from ashes.
Naturally, I want to bring as much spring inside my small dorm room as I can, right? Right. And my dear friend seemed to just know how much I would love this little beauty of a plant... and made it for me for my birthday!! Isn't it just the most adorable thing?! I think so. I love plants, twine, and mason jars. She really hit the nail on the head with this one. She made it on March 2nd, and within 10 days (no joke), GORGEOUS bright purple blooms shot up! They were stunning. It was perfect. And all because of this perfect gift, I am now inspired to create a "Dorm-room-windowsill-garden" out of lovely plants to invite spring in. Then name is a mouthful, I know.. I'm working on it.. (and would much appreciate suggestions!!).
In EVERY season, give thanks.
